The photograph is of Petunia who teaches many things, including her total abandon when it comes to rest. The invitation for this week’s Poetry Party is to celebrate the gifts of being – what do you discover in those still spaces and holy pauses? Where are you invited to release the hold of doing and surrender to something much bigger?

Living in the eternal now
Fully engaged
in the activity of the moment
Letting go fully
When what needs to be done
Has been done
Responding with focus
Bringing energy and passion
To the work of the day
Is this what it means
To enjoy life in fullness
Let it be

'Let it be' - that's the crux of this, I think. I enjoyed this poem.
Thanks Tess
"living the eternal now" speaks to me, my practice these days has been to be present to as many eternal moments as I can. Thanks so much for your contribution to the poetry party!
Thanks Christine. We minded a rabbit when his family was away for two weeks. I just loved the way he lived in the eternal now - when he was eating he was eating (rabbit food spreading far and wide), when he was running it was backwards and forwards and side to side all around the back yard, and so often I would look out and he was sitting, 'just sitting', intensely. Petunia reminded me of him.
