Pink bootees finished!

Son is taking them to his friends' baby daughter tomorrow. She is a precious wee babe, three years ago her Mum and Dad lost a baby at term. Just over a year ago they had a little boy, and now this wee girl is added to their family.

This was a vintage pattern and knitted using some of the needles I inherited from my mother. Modern machine washable wool though!

So sweet. Reminds me of my mother who liked to knit. Guess she's on my mind, because July 14 is the anniversary of her death in 1992, which is longer ago than it seems.

I love the picture. Thank you.

Thanks friends. Will be thinking of you next week Jan. The death of a parent remains close I think. I'm taking up knitting and marmalade making with new vigour since Mum died in March.

These are so very cute. It's nice to "meet" a fellow knitter.
